The Least of These
Program Highlights
HCJB--The Voice of the Andes
September 22, 1997

On this week's radio program, we will hear a report from Curt Cole about a pending famine in Tanzania. Then, we will talk with Fr. Theodore Hesburgh, former president of Notre Dame University in the United States and one of the founders of the Peace Corps. We will also interview Drs. Erik Janowsky and Paul Gaus who are launching a new medical/social service initiative, Andean Health and Development, in a rural part of Ecuador. The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus Christ said, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

The Least of These is broadcast on HCJB, The Voice of the Andes on the following Schedule:
