More than a decade ago I remember hearing and reading about work
in Burkina Faso using bunds on contours of farmland to increase
rainwater infiltration and decrease erosion from runoff.

Recently I've heard that there is more or less extensive use of technologies to harvest rainwater for agricultural use (esp. dry-season gardening).

As I prepare for a trip there I wondered if anyone have any ready web references on either or both? I'm also particularly interested in anything on the evolution of such techniques in farmers' practices there over the last 10-15 years.

TIA!
