PlaNet Finance is doing global research on: The impact of Microfinance =
Institutions (MFI) on demographic processes within the regional =
community and the possibility to link the microcredit schemes with =
population policies.
We are particularly interested in the microfinance interventions impact =
on fertility, contraceptive use, women status, family planning, =
population growth, access to health/education services, etc..
I will appreciate if you could:
- indicate/provide me with existing publications on that subject =
(references or URL addresses),
- indicate individuals/organizations involved in the area,
- provide me with interesting web addresses and/or personal contacts,
- indicate MFI linking the above issues with their lending programs.
The objective of the research is to consider the opportunity of =
including the population policies in the MFI activity in order to reduce =
the demographic pressure in the developing world, which is one of the =
main obstacles to the development.
