We have a new HP ScanJet Iicx. It works very well for us. I think if you update your software to the newest versions you should be quite happy. We have DeskScan II v. 2.1, HP PhotoCopier 1.0, Calera WordScan 3.0, and Aldus PhotoStyler 2.0.Regards,
