About two weeks ago we started using a HP ScanJet IIcx with a transparency adapter. I am mostly scanning 4X5 negatives. I'm very pleased with the results. By scanning, reversing the polarity, and printing on our laser printer, researchers can now get inexpensive hard-copy positive images. It will also allow us to scan images for the World Wide Web. Scans of 35mm slides have not been as beautiful. I can e-mail you a scanned image if you wish.

Peter -- Thank you very much for your reply. If it isn't too much trouble, I would like to see the quality of a 4x5 scan and if you have one, what a 35mm scan looks like. If it is a lot of trouble, don't worry about it.

Thanks again,

David
