We are using the Nokia 447x monitors in public areas as well as for
personal-use pcs. The monitors are capable of displaying high resolutions
at rock-steady refresh rates--for example, I believe at 800x600, the refresh
rate can be 110Hz, with the addition of a video card like the ones you
propose. This does not address your color issue, but the image quality is
certainly better with the high refresh rate. We've only had them since
August of 1995, but have had no problems in that time. Best, Pamela
