We use the Kodak RFS 3570 here in our Digital Imaging Services. It costs more than the Poloroid or Nikon units, but it is cabable of scanning 35mm as well as 120 & 70 mm slides and negatives.

The resolution is comparable to what you get on a Photo CD as the unit is very similar to the one in the CD workstation from Kodak.

So far we've been quite happy with the unit.
