Subject: WWW Page Designer Wanted
To: Multiple recipients of list IMAGELIB

The Center for History of Physics of the American Institute of Physics is
looking for an experienced WWW page designer to continue development
of the Center's exhibit "Albert Einstein: Image and Impact." A summary
exhibit has already been designed and mounted as a pilot. We are now
looking for someone to continue mounting photos and text based on the
current design.

The preliminary, pilot version of the exhibit is posted at the URL: http://www.aip.org/history/einstein/einstein.html. You will see it has six main pages as entry "rooms". For each of these, we can provide much additional text and pictures, which we can send to you as electronic text and .gif's. We need someone to:

- add a list at the bottom of each of the six main pages, each list pointing to another ten or so pages (each in turn having one or two photo sub-pages).

- make up these pages, cropping and sizing thumbnails and framing pictures (the framing is done with a simple Photoshop add-on).

- we would also be interested in adding some color without much increase in bandwidth demand, e.g., by adding thin color bars.

We would prefer someone in the Baltimore/Washington area, but we could also work with you entirely by e-mail. If you are interested, please contact me with URLs of your previous work. Selected individuals will be given more detailed information and will be asked to submit a work plan proposal and estimated fee.

I can be reached at mailto:tkeifer@aip.acp.org. Thank you for your interest.
