I have a few vendors I'd recommend to create customized, non proprietary format
Photographic CDROMS here in the Los Angeles Area. Many of the labs around town
now understand that digital format is how photographic information is being
requested. More and more are able to accommodate our requests, alas with varying
degrees of pricing formats and price breaks. Quantity is usually the deciding
factor. We've also investigated digital retouching and transparencies created
from original scans, with good results.

One vendor has created catalog CDs for us. These consist of JPEG'd TIFFs at 200 dpi. I have between 800-1000 images per disk which I have linked to my Cumulus database on a 7 CD jukebox. (ProCD)
