    <pre> Hi All,

    Excuse crossposting.

I suppose you are all at the VRA conference ... lucky things! I'm after any info on wavelet compression . In general I am after up to date info about speedily networking image megafiles, and will be grateful for any pointers. Apparently University of Michigan is using something called Mr SIDS ( sp???) for transporting large files on the web.

I used to have a site bookmarked that featured a large flamingo image comprised of thousands of small images in a mosaic, and cannot remember what this was called. Any clues, URLS, articles, etc appreciated?

    Much obliged as usual. Jennifer
