I have a question about color management, which I notice has come up recently in a few responses to other questions. I
have been relunctant to embed ICC profiles in the TIFF header of an image file, which is an option with the PhaseOne sof
ware that comes with the PowerPhase camera, for fear that software 10 years from now may not understand the embedded pro
ile. What I have chosen to do instead is burn a copy of the ICC profile to each CD of archived images, with instruction
to apply that profile when manipulation images in PhotoShop, for example. Does this make sense? What are other people
doing?
I appreciate any response or advice!
