I have just completed indexing 3000 slides which will be sold on CD-ROM under the name Digital Reflections. The slides were scanned and indexed using Picture Windows, developed by Matrix Technologies (1-800-563-0305). Because I used to teach science, many of my photos would fit into a scientific image database - biology, ecology, geology - as well as art. The program will search for any word which is used in the description. For example, if I wanted to see a series of images of flowers, the program would show all pictures with the word flowers attached to them. I could then create a slide show to view all or several of them. Of course other words could be used in the search FLOWERS PINK NEWFOUNDLAND would give a smaller selection. Hope this is useful.
