Maybe the technical topics seemed to be a diversion, but for me they were
also an education in an area I have not especially explored, although we
are indeed putting up an image database.  I realize that the "thread"
of the discussion went on for some time and was at some distance from the
main list purpose, but I, for  one, followed it with interest and saved
the messages for future use.
