I would like to know if someone does have any experience with
Kodak Photo-CD in the newspaper environment. We are considering
it for the begining of a digital project in house.
The project involves the digitalization and archiving of about
100 images a day (the production of 30 photographes). Photo CD
does seem ideal in what concerns speed and security. But we are
not sure about quality. It also doesn't sound good to have to
manipulate hundreds of CDs. Do you know of any reliable jukebox
system. Another point is the image database. Kodak's 'Shoebox'
doesn't seem to be powerful enough to handle the production of
a daily newspaper for a period of at least 2 years. Also, its
search capabilities seems to be very limited, aren't them?
Is there a list specific on Photo CD ?
