CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER Executive Level IV/SES ($115,700)
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), a $475 million dollar budget, 3,000 plus employee, independent Federal regulatory agency, headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) reporting directly to the Chairman of the Commission.
Provides principal advice and assistance to top level management to ensure that information technology (IT) is acquired and information resources across the agency are managed to accomplish mission related activities.
The CIO must participate effectively in NRC's strategic planning and decision-making processes, must be a skilled communicator, and able to present the vision of the Chairman and Commission to others. The CIO must be skilled in building partnerships and assisting senior management in recognizing where information technology can add value while transforming or supporting program operations. The CIO must have the technical knowledge and experience to direct the agency's information technology and information management program and resources, including its IT infrastructure.
