At Preservation Resources we have just completed a very successful test
digitizing glass plate negatives. Our solution involves the hybrid approach
of first filming the originals on archival continuous-tone microfilm and
then scanning the film in 8-bit grayscale. We can scan at a resolution up
to 900 DPI in relation to the original (based on a plate size of
approximately 9" x 7").
For more information on this approach, please contact me or Lynn Wagner at
1-800-773-7222.

Any recommendations for equipment, DPI.
Thanks in advance.
