Can anyone advise? We are currently using MicroSoft Access version 1.1 (for the database part) together with Picture Publisher version 3.1 (for the imaging part) for our slide collection (total so far: about 4000 slides). So far, so good.
We recently tried to upgrade to Access version 2.0 (with the FoxPro search engine, much faster than our current, somewhat sluggish at this point, version).
The database was converted to the new version. OK agian. But, as soon as I tried to paste-link an image from Picture Publisher into the database...BANG! General Protection Fault in kernel 386 (happens every time we try).
No-one seems to know WHY (or how to fix it). I've called the help-lines at MicroSoft and Micrografx. No help. Our computer department is stumped. The contractor who customized Access for us is "working on it" and says "that both programs work fine on HIS system" (but not ours!)
Does anyone have ANY suggestions? We really want to start using Access 2.0!
