Does your scanning software have a black/white adjustment? We used such an adjustment to read dark typing on dark red paper. By telling the computer that the dark red was white, the typing was instantly, entirely legible. (For very faint green ink on white paper, we adjusted the green to black.) This can be done at capture or in post-processing with something like PhotoShop (if you want to keep an original that is close to the document in real color). Also, manipulating the color balance in PhotoShop will have the same effect as using a color filter on a camera.Bob Rosenberg
