Greetings all--
As a middle school librarian I have a rather different sort of
imaging application that I'd like some advice about. I use a PowerPoint
presentation to 'prep' students for their research units and have borrowed
another school's LCD panel for this purpose. I am considering the purchase
of a PC/TV converter to use instead--brighter picture, no light dimming
necessary, etc. In looking over some of the available tools, I have come
across one that includes the capacity to capture still and full-motion
video: the ADS Tune-in TV for Windows and the TV Elite (two devices, yes,
but described within the same catalog panel). I'd like to have such a
multi-function device available, particularly since I could use it to
capture images from a digital camera and/or videotape to use in the school
newsletter (production of which being one of my 'other duties'). If anyone
has any experience with these types of devices, I'd appreciate any advice
you could provide on brands and/or sources. If you'd rather not post
responses to this query to the list my e-mail address is:
mailto:mbms@atc.ameritel.net (of course, it's also in my sig block . . . )
Happy and prosperous New
Year to all,
Paul Shippert
