Dear ImagelibbersWe are looking to correspond with libraries or archives that have practical experience in microfilm scanning of monographs and periodicals, image archiving and Virtual Library Operation........
1. Can anyone help us evaluate the Minolta or Bell and Howell ABR3000 as opposed to the Canon MS400 or similar microfilm/fiche scanning equipment.
2. Are any studies available for the reliability and longevity of DVD as a storage media. Are there any DVD jukeboxes on the market yet ? What where and how much do they cost ?
3. Does anyone know where to find software which will limit downloading of images from the web by file size or to make a scanned page of a rare or copyrighted book viewable but will prevent a reader from saving it as a file or sending it to his printer.
Thank You
