This bilingual digital resource explores Mexican history and culture through photographs taken by foreign photographers etween 1857 and 1923. Displayed are images documenting the brief empire of Maximilian in the 1860s, ruins of ancient pre Hispanic empires, Mexico's growth as an industrialized nation, and the tumultuous revolution that began in 1910.
