Hello,

We are in the process of setting up a MACHTTP server. I have not had any luck with being able to fiew GIF images through Mosaic. I did find that I was able to view JPEG documents (that I had converted from GIF). What would I need to be able to access the GIF format documents? Also, I am looking for a MAC conversion utility that will allow me to convert TIFF files to GIFF-- ON THE MAC. So far, I have had to take a TIFF file to my PC and use a PC conversion program to convert to GIF. I then, of course, had to bring the GIF file back over to the MAC. Any ideas on what I could use?

I don't want to say that we have ruled out using JPEG documents. I was told that JPEG is becoming more common. I originally wanted to use GIF because I thought that the GIF format is what most Web clients can handle. Comments anyone??

Thanks for your help.
