Elizabeth - as one with 405,000 slides I suggest a basic database, which
can be designed to reflect the presentations by including a presentation
field and is thereby searchable while at the same time allowing for individual
cataloging.  The image databases available are sometimes rudimentary and are
often directed at art alone.  However, you might try something like VRMS to
see if it would suit your needs.
