This may seem like an obvious question but I do actually have a few specifics that I am trying to figure out. Bascially I've looking for a image database system that allows to user to draw and/or make simple annotations to the image.I work and am at studying at a Photo museum and have developed a prototype for a condition/treatment report for collection material (photos, cameras, daguerreotypes, etc.). This report describes the physical condition of an artifact and therefore contains quite a lot of text and is accompanied by an image of the artifact. I put a version of this together using FileMaker Pro which only allows you to import an image not make annotations to it once in the database. I also tends to get clogged when you have any quantity of files.
I've been hunting around for a database that has a similar 'single page format' with the capacity to alter imported images. Someone recommended Fox Pro, but I have not found out much about that program yet. If anyone has info/experience of a program that sounds like the above brief description that is available commercially (as opposed to custom built), please write. Thanks
