Greetings. My name is Adam Schatz, and I am a new member of this listserv.
I am trying to locate information on digital imaging ofphotographic
collections. I am doing research for an organization who would like to
digitze their photographic collection. Presently, the photographic
collection is comprised of: 2 1/4 inch black & white negatives, black &
white and colour photographs, and colour slides.
Specifically, I would appreciate any information, hints, suggestions
regarding the following topics:

Which method of storage should be adopted? What equipment should be purchased for scanning?--scanner and computer recommendations What software is best for indexing/cataloguing? What should be done first? Is there a particular procedure to follow?

I have done research into the topic of digital imaging and have read works by the Cornell University Library (Digital Imaging for Libraries and Archives) and the Getty Art History Information Program (Introduction to Imaging). Does anyone have any other recommendations for research literature?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Adam
