filemaker- pro image distortion?

    We have created a image data base using Filemaker Pro 4 and are having problems with the image quality of our thumbnails.

    We have a image in a container field and have a small view in a general list layout, with several records displayed, which we can then click on to take us to the full size view of individual records.

    The problem we are experiencing is that the images in the small view have lines appearing randomly through the image. It appears that the shape of the box has an effect on it as well, i.e. a square box with a rectangle image or a rectangle box with a square images seems to be the worst. We have selected enlarge or reduce to fit the box selected and the original images are approximately 1024 x 667 pixels and range from 550k to 1.2 megs each.

    Has anybody else encountered this problem as is there a solution.
