Hello IMAGELIB,
A colleague asked the following. If you have a reply, please feel free
to post to the listserv or directly to me. Thanks, Stuart

We're getting ready to do a rather large project (starting small but
with the likelihood of growing over the years) and we're, as usual,
starting the project with some brainstorming about how to make the
visual database most accessible over the long term. In our case, we're
looking at slices of bodies that will require labels and arrows
depending upon the use (quiz, didactic, etc). We're entertaining
anything from SQL database with arrow position and label info to XML
with similar data to hard-wiring everything. In your travels around
campus, is there anyone who has a successful graphical format for
pictures with arrows/highlights and lables that already has a datbase
format or XML format thought out so we can look for some compatibility?<<<
