Thanks. I've been monitoring this conversation, and I plan to order some
better CSs than the ones we burn for patrons. The Mitsui disks look good
and seem to have the same components and specs as the Kodaks

We burn about 30 archival disks a week. After some difficulty getting
Kodak disks, our tech staff began considering alternatives. They gave me
the following urls for CD-R test results. The tests bear out my
experience that Kodak has been a quality brand, consistent and a
top-performer. From the looks of the results, Imation may be an
alternative, though I'll probably stick with Kodak as long as I can,
even the alloy ones.=20
I've also heard good things about Mitsui (not tested in this study).
Steer clear of TDK---very inconsistent in this study and in my
experience.=20
