For our image database we use 'ImageAXS' by Digital Collections at 1301
Marina Village Parkway, Alameda, California 94501, Phone (510)814-7200
Fax (510)814-6100. We find it perfect for keeping images and data on a
stand alone basis. It is available in Mac and Windows. The severe
limitation it does have is that the text data can not be exported or
pprinted. We have images on CD's and SyQuests with the hard disk on
our computer holding the small thumbnails and data file for searching,
viewing and printing of selected images. Hope this information helps.
