for all of you who have read & responded to a message I posted before Christmas about cleaning Agfa scanners - here's the reply I got from Agfa's support center:

As you can see, you still have to figure out how to open the scanner yourself, but at least now we know that opening the scanner for cleaning purpose does not void the warranty.
