Sales: Luna Imaging, Inc. (www.lunaimaging.com) provides Insight software
systems for distributing, managing, and using images on the Internet. Luna
also offers complimentary high quality image scanning and processing
services to meet the special demands of converting large visual collections
into digital form. Clients include cultural institutions such as museums,
libraries, archives, and universities, as well as other organizations that
maintain collections of images as a part of their operations.
Responsibilities: Initial responsibility will build on Luna’s existing base
of clients and contacts, expanding follow-up and interaction with these
organizations. The salesperson also will be expected to develop prospects
and identify new opportunities through active involvement with Luna’s market
and to attend conferences. As familiarity with Luna’s business allows,
additional responsibilities will include direct sales presentations,
preparation of written proposals, and coordination of projects with Luna
staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years work experience. Candidate
background should include:
1.Project management and consulting in a technical environment. Familiarity
with databases, distributed application design, digital images and related
technology highly desirable.
2.Demonstrated track record in sales. Professional experience in the
university, library, and/or museum community a plus.
Undergraduate or Post-Graduate education should complement experience in the
above areas. The successful candidate must be articulate, a quick learner,
and very hard working. Attention to detail and excellent communication and
organization skills required. Initiative and independence valued and
respected. High standards of quality and performance, commitment, and
integrity are essential.
Compensation:
Base salary. Progressive emphasis on commission. Employee benefit program.
