Hi Brad and all you other ImageLib folks (if there are any),

I've just subscribed to the IMAGELIB list and since it seems to be a new list I hope this issue hasn't been worked to death already. If this issue is not quite appropriate for this list just let me know.

At Phoenix Public Library (Arizona) we are in the process of evaluating image document delivery systems. We currently have a 60-day trial of a product called Power Pages from UMI. We also will be testing a similar document delivery system from IAC soon.

The Power Pages product delivers faxed or laser printed images of articles from UMI's ABI-Inform and Periodicals Abstracts databases which we have access to through our online catalog system (DYNIX) and their journal citation module (VISTA). If you are with me so far, great!

What I'm wondering is, what do others think of these products? How did you pay for them? How do you charge your customers for the imaged articles? We have our own concerns about the Power Pages product, and if anyone is interested I'd be happy to share them with you.

I'm not quite sure if we are on the cutting edge or if we are a step behind the times with just now testing these options. Any comments or ideas are welcome.
