Hi everyone.

I am very curious as to what type of scan would give a better, clearer picture:

- a slide scanned using a 2,400 dpi (24 bit color) slide scanner

or a

- a regular photograph scanned at 600 dpi (24 bit color) using a flatbed?

I used to think that a slide scanner would produce better results but I'm not to sure now. The thing is that a slide scanner scans at a higher resolution because of the smaller area that it has to scan. A flatbed scanning a photograph scans at a lower resolution but a photograph is around 5 times bigger than a slide.

Thanks in advance.
