Since you mentioned Alchemy Mindworks, I assume that you are using some form of Windows. For Windows machines, two powerful sets of utilities used by many professionals are Image Alchemy and Debabelizer. These programs have many more batch handling features than Paintshop Pro. Using Photoshop 4.0 macro feature is an interesting idea, but it might be rather slow.For Unix machines, you can purchase Image Alchemy, or you could use the well known freeware programs netpbm, and Image Magick.
