The Library of Congress National Digital Library Program (NDLP) has released a revised version of the paper “Digital Formats for Content Reproductions”

by Carl Fleischhauer, the program’s technical coordinator. The document describes the Library’s approach to reproducing historical materials and lists the types of digital formats selected by the Library for this purpose. It includes discussion of formats for pictorial materials, textual materials, maps, sound recordings, and moving-image materials, and is illustrated with examples. Comments or questions about this paper can be directed to Carl Fleischhauer at mailto:cfle@loc.gov.

The paper appears as a part of the Background and Technical Documents Section the American Memory website.
