I am on the program committee for the Midwest Chapter/Medical Library Assoc. `96 regional meeting (yes, 1996). One of the topic areas for which we are looking for speakers is:
Electronic Imaging for Archives and Preservation
We are looking for a speaker who is technically knowledgeable in this arena, is up-to-date on current developments, knows the issues, and has experience with real-life applications. Since there is a Health Sciences focus for the meeting, some experience/knowledge re this area would be a big plus--e.g., patient records, hospitals, medical research centers.
Who in the archives area might fit the above? Any authors who write in this area (electronic imaging) that are felt to be knowledgeable AND who is a good speaker?
