I would think that most of the current draft standards from the Audio
Engineering Society (AES recommended practice for Audio preservation and
restoration - Storage of ployester-base magnetic tape. DRAFT AES22-xxxx)
would be operative for the storage of any taped media, analog or digital.
Factors include things like: tape pack, envoirnmental conditions storage
housing, magnetic fields, fire protection, etc.
