There is a Minolta 3000 in our building, but not under my control.
Thus to be fair to Minolta, you should decide what you wish to
accomplish and work with the vendor to determine if it can meet your
needs. Thus far, I am very frustrated. It seems to be a good scanner,
but the proprietary software is lousy, and the design is such that
many things that we would like to scan are simply too large. It does
a good job of making two-tone copies, but the bi-level tiff files it
saves have proven useless to me. They cannot be opened in Photoshop,
and we have failed to find any way that they can be used effectively
on our web site. But again, determine your own needs and talk to
Minolta. What it does it does well, but I can't figure out a use for
it.
