Cross Posting to several listservs; my apologies.

Background: Currently, the Federal Reserve microfilms warrants, checks paid daily for the State of Tennessee's Department of Treasury. The Reserve has submitted a proposal to image/scan these items and would forward disk(s) instead of microfilm to the Department.

Questions: 1. Does anyone have experience with the Federal Reserve scanning checks? Please describe your experience, pros and cons.

2. What impact does this operation have on you (from a business standpoint) and your customers?

For government entities: what impact does this operation have on your agencies? Does the Reserve supply additional copies of disk(s) for your customers or is this your responsiblity?

Your response is greatly appreciated.
