Hello Martin:

Here are some thoughts about your lighting difficulties.

1. Line scanning camera take very long exposures. Lights are on for a long time. Any light produces some heat energy. 2. Gold is hard to capture. Not all Florescent bulbs provide a full spectrum of light. Try Kinoflos. They are used in motion picture production. Also try an old photographers trick. Take an ordinary piece of light brown cardboard. Turn your lights so they reflect off the card board. It will warm up your gold tones.

3. If you need day light and need large file sizes take a look at the new eyelike from Jenoptik LOS. It will scan with 5k flash. 216MB in less than 2 minutes with special software to handle any differences between intensities of the strobe bursts. Try eyelike.com or academicimaging.com
