I am doing a newspaper digitization project and am debating between the only
two planetary scanners that I know of that will do newspaper size scanning:
the Bookeye and the Minolta PS7000. I have compared samples from both
scanners and from sample scans it appears that the Bookeye does a better job
of producing a good text scan at 300 dpi. The Minolta will scan at 400 dpi
which I admit I didn't test.

Is anyone using the Bookeye for large format scanning who would be willing to comment on it?

Thanks.
