    Some IMAGELIB-ers may be interested in this Library & Information Technology Association (LITA, a division of the American Library Association) interest group meeting:

    The LITA Technical Issues of Digital Data Interest Group (TIDDIG) will hold a business meeting at ALA Annual 2000 in Chicago, on July 8th, from 11:30 to 12:30, in room S505b at the McCormick Place Convention Center. Tops on the agenda are:

    discussion of the just completed preconference on digital imaging http://www.lita.org/ac2000/preconf.html

    program planning for ALA 2001 in San Francisco
    (potential topics from recent brainstorming sessions include statewide digitizing initiatives, and the ISO standard for digital images)

    election/selection of new officers
