Hello,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me find information on the above topic. I work for the Preservation Department at the Main Library of Northwestern University and we are looking at the possibilities of using digital scanning techniques in the preservation of library materials (books, manuscripts, etc.). I am sure this topic has been dealt with before, but I am new to the list and would appreciate any information that is currently available. I am not quite sure where to start, so anything just to get me headed in the right direction would be wonderful.

Also, are there any commercial vendors that anyone would be willing recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Greg
