I am a LAN Manager with the Florida Atlantic University
Reistrar's office and would like an opinion on the differences
and advantages between SYBASE and ORACLE concerning document
imaging retrieval. I have heard that ORACLE requires a tremendous
amount of resources and that a 32 MEG NT Database SERVER just
won't cut it. We only have a 25 user network so far, but being
that the Database is the next crucial element (2cnd only to the
Network Type - We are running IPX/10-Base T Ethernet) in the
Imaging Equation, we are tossing the two companies around with
the consideration of future growth. Is there a DBA out there or
anyone with an opinion for that matter who can comment on this
topic? Would appreciate your help. THANKS.
