Dear DigLib Members:

Assuming that one has acquired all of the necessary software and hardware to scan photographic images, and has made the required intellectual decisions regarding storage, resolution, etc., what is the best way to proceed.

Specifically:

What kinds of things need to be considered when establishing the scanning order?

Is it necessary to scan an entire collection, or is it possible to do only the most important, representative elements?

Any replies to these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Adam
