The archives where I work is considering leasing a photocopier that scans
documents in order to make copies. I have been told that the scanned
images can be stored either to a computer, network or e-mail. For
photograph orders I often find myself photocopying the same images over and
over again to send to researchers. I was thinking that this would be a
great opportunity to set up a database of frequently requested images.

I was hoping to get responses from others about setting up such a system. (I am trying to find out more information about the copier and what its requirements are). Are there any institutions that are doing something similar to this? Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you.

Michele
