We have a Xerox docu center thingie set up as a network printer. It is a great copier, a fair printer, and an unknown qu ntity as a scanner since I haven't had time to figure out how to use it effectively yet. Xerox instructions are lousy, and their tech support so compartmentalized that you never get a complete answer. My gripe with the printer part is: 1) It is strictly Windows...I do all serious writing in DOS WP 5.1, save it and open t in WP for WIndows, where it prints fine, BUT 2) Most of the special features are hard to get to work, but not all that vital.
I hope to start saving some frequently requested items via the scanner, but just haven't had time to figure it out. We h ve had it about 6 months.
If you get one, tie up the instructor they send until you understand everything, since once they leave, help is not fort coming.
