George Holmes is right. We purchased a Quadra 630 and dropped 16 megs of RAM
into it to bring it up to 20 and have a very quick machine (with a full blown
040 processor) that is Power Mac upgradeable if we ever want to. The current
price on a Quadra 630 is around $999 and the necessary RAM (16 more) is about
$599. So - for around $1600 (plus monitor and keyboard, about another $550)
you've got a real good workstation.
