For anyone who is looking at magneto-optical disks, there are two sizes of drives and disks. The smaller of the two (3.5") can use media ranging from 128 megs to 230 megs. The larger of the two (5.25") can use media from 600 megs to 2.6 gigs. I hope this helps. This is all I know, since we are just beginning to look at large space, long term storage.
