Responcibilities include sucessfully setting up and maintaining an Architecture Slide Library for a professional program in Architecture (B.Arch.) including organization, training and supervision of student assistants, advising on and implimenting appropriate acquisition of slides and implimenting appropriate cataloguing, storage and retrieval systems and technologies. Duties will be divided between administration, selection, purchasing and cataloguing of Architecture slides. Co-ordinating with the Department of Art, Design and Architecture and participation in VRA< ARLIS or other professional organizations is expected. In the future it is anticipated that duties may include art and design slides and possible digital image storage and retrieval.
Minimum qualification are a Bachelor's degree (Art,Art HIstory or Architecture) with a Master's degree preferred. The canidate should be able to demonstrate organizational, management and basic computer skills and a strong knowledge of the History od Architecture.
Preferred skillsare experience in an Art or Architecture Slide Library, teaching experience in Art, Art history or Architecture, the practice of Architecture or experience with computer relational data bases, AAT, and/or digital images.
